Build Environment

Host Requirements

• Any modern Linux distribution (x86_64 recommended)
• About 20 GB of free disk space
• Network access (to fetch kernel and BusyBox source)

Dependencies (Debian/Ubuntu)

sudo apt install build-essential bc flex bison libssl-dev libelf-dev \
  wget cpio gzip xz-utils

Dependencies (Arch)

sudo pacman -S base-devel openssl elfutils wget cpio gzip xz

Static Build of BusyBox

make menuconfig   # In Settings, enable "Build static binary"
make -j$(nproc)

Cross-Compilation (Build ARM64 on an x86_64 Host)

sudo apt install gcc-aarch64-linux-gnu
export ARCH=arm64
export CROSS_COMPILE=aarch64-linux-gnu-
# Build the kernel, BusyBox, and custom tools in this environment

Tips

• Build inside TsukineOS or a clean container or virtual machine to avoid host library contamination.
• Specific compilation parameters for each component are in the current TsukineOS repository source code.
